The food gets better each time we go there! We went there twice this weekend - Friday dinner and Sunday brunch. I hope they will add their specialities to their brunch menu as I was so looking forward to having the mozzeria bar for brunch and having my friends taste it! The duck pizza on Fridays was the best! Pumpkin ravioli was delicious! I will be back real soon when I visit the Bay Area! Thanks...This is a novelty restaurant, because of the mixture of deaf and hearing customers. Everyone has access to communication. The dishes are small, so it's nice to order several dishes to try different types of food. The menu changes, so it's nice to have a variety to choose from on the menu. I would definitely return to try more dishes!
The Mozzarella Bar was such a unique and delicious appetizer. I was thinking I would order another one but then I wouldn’t have had room in my belly for my amazing Margarita PIZZA! YUM!
I loved the salmon plate, but it was a bit small. The service was excellent and the pizzasn and dessertnwere all good as was the wine - especially the cab. Oh - and the salad was unusual and very tasty!
Fabulous place to eat. Food are to die for!!! Their red sauce on the mozzarella bar is so light & tasty. The pizzas are so thin, delicate & delicious. It fills your stomach! The house wine (red) was so good & I bought a bottle to go home with. Their tap beers are fabulous as well. The environment is wonderful so are the staff!!!! I would definitely highly recommend to my friends and family to go there!!! Reasonable prices!!!!
Great! Real Neapolitan Pizza - Great! Real Neapolitan Pizza with perfect Char.... All I can say it was great and non yuppie, a plus in my book. Perfect pizza done by nice people.
The food was extraordinary. - The food was extraordinary. Salmon with sauce verde was exquisite and duck pizza was an ingeneous combination. All 3 desserts were delectable especially the panna cotta. The sign language ambiance adds a fun and fascinating element. Go with an open mind and empty stomach
Amazing ravioli (pumpkin sage), - Amazing ravioli (pumpkin sage), very good pizza, very good wine. Just be prepared to speak quietly (which was a relief) as most of the clientele and staff are deaf. Reservations required as the place is tiny and filled quickly.
A Warm, Friendly Restaurant - Warm, friendly staff. We arrived early for our 11:30 reservation and were seated immediately even though they weren't quite finished with a photo shoot. After ordering they let us know that they would be a slight delay as the wood fired oven was not quite to temperature. As we weren't in any kind of hurry it was okay with us but I did appreciate knowing what was happening. Communication was not a problem and our food was fresh, hot and delicious and our waitress was very attentive. If you have never been in a predominately deaf environment don't be intimated. Give it a try.
This place is great! Love - This place is great! Love the vibe of the atmosphere and the food was delish! Its my 2nd time, both time I tried different food. Only thing I can say about this restaurant, its best for 2 people such as one to one with friends, romantic date, double-date, etc. because of the size and the atmosphere. Im definitely come back again and again to try all different stuff on their menu cuz all sounds yummy!
This is our fourth visit to - This is our fourth visit to Mozzeria. We have always had a positive experience dining there. Food is awesome, wine selection is good, and while the food is for foodies- it is also kid friendly. A nice combination! We recently went there for brunch and left very happy. Their salmon with fried capers is delicious. If you are just in the mood for wine and dessert- do try their Limoncello truffle...it is to die for.
This is one of my new favorites. - This is one of my new favorites. Since the owners are deaf and sign and many of the diners are, as well, this is one of the quietest spots I know. A great place to bring someone who has difficulty hearing in noisy rooms. Now, for the pizza,,,,it's the closest thing to what is served in Naples Ive' tasted in San Francisco. Excellent.
Their pizza is awesome... - Their pizza is awesome... Try their Pancetta with carmelized onion. Another must - the Limonello Truffle for dessert. Simply out of this world.
Mozzeria received an amazing - Mozzeria received an amazing review and a full story in SF Chron. Our visit did not disappoint. The owners are deaf, so are a number of staff but all employees (Hearing and Hearing impaired) speak ASL. Our experience was so positive. Staff was pleasant, friendly, professional and the food was exquisitely prepared. Our waiter even taught us an expression in Sign language. I have already recommended it to others.
The best thing about Mozzeria - The best thing about Mozzeria is the noise level! Since everyone is signing, there is absolutely no noise and a very welcome relief in a San Francisco restaurant. Pizza was good and there are many varieties that warrant a return visit.
