Mozzeria blog launched
for pizza enthusiasts in San Francisco

Foodies and everyday people who have a passion for wood fired oven pizzas, yearn for a good wholesome meal, or those thinking of launching a restaurant can follow the aspirations and ongoing efforts of a deaf Asian-American female in launching a gourmet Neapolitan pizza restaurant in San Francisco through a new blog on this site.

The Mozzeria blog, which debuted on December 17th, explores the husband-and-wife team of Melody and Russell Stein’s love for pizza, and Melody’s determination to become the third generation restaurateur in her family. Blog postings present an intimate look at the Stein’s desires and efforts, shares latest developments, and chronicle their endeavor to launch the restaurant.

“Food is magical because it fulfills our stomachs while at the same time bringing us together as family,” Melody Stein explains, “My father is a 2nd generation restaurateur and is the source of my inspiration.”

Melody did an extensive study tour in Italy earlier in the year taking cooking classes in Rome, Sorrento and Positano, has been conducting extensive research locally and held tasting events to gather feedback and input on their specially developed recipes.

The Mozzeria blog is a project of Hapa & Stein, a management consulting firm that the Steins operate in San Francisco. They plan to launch Mozzeria in late-2011.
