Performs as Pizza Maker for the Restaurant and Food Truck shifts.

Job Type: Part-time, non-exempt (hourly)

Reports to: Team Leaders

Evaluation: 90 days.

Duties

  • Stretch, prep, proper assemble and bake pizza according to VPN and restaurant standards.
  • Prepare a variety of meats, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Understand and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and rules, policiies and procedures.
  • Handle, store and rotate all products properly (FIFO) while completing opening/closing checklists.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work/service area including tables, shelves, walls, oven, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Take food orders from guests; accurately enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen.
  • Accept payment, process credit card charges or make change accurately.
  • Monitor and observe guests' dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service including responding promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager or team leader.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.

Requirements

  • Complete and maintain Food Handler Certification in good standing upon hire.
  • Fluent in American Sign Language.
  • Highly motivated, self directed, efficiently communicate with other staff.

FOOD TRUCK DRIVER

Responsible for driving Mozzeria Food Truck to designated events and prep and bake pizzas

Job Type: Part-time, non-exempt (hourly)

Reports to: Team Leaders

Evaluation: 90 days.

Duties

  • Pick up and drop off food inventory surplus.
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or use of hand truck.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle, adding fluids and oil, check tires, brakes, lights, and gas.
  • Read and interpret maps and GPS directions, monitor traffic conditions to avoid delays.
  • Follow traffic signs and street signs to get to destination.
  • Arrive and Depart Food Truck events in timely manner.
  • Encourages highest level of sales and customer service performance.
  • Provide customer service at food events including interacting with other food truck staff.
  • Assist in monitoring productivity in food sales and food flow.
  • Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously.
  • Bake pizzas of different sizes and utilizing appropriate pizza peels.
  • Work with KDS system and complete orders in timely manner
  • Practices food safety and sanitation including knowledgeable of proper temperature for all food items either stored or during service.
  • Complete daily opening and closing procedures in accordance with company policy.
  • All other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by Team Leaders and Manager.

Requirements

  • Complete and maintain Food Handler Certification in good standing upon hire.
  • Clean driving record of 7 years or more.

  • Fluent in American Sign Language.

Operations manager

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Mozzeria, Inc has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced manager to lead all area restaurant and food truck operations, local marketing initiatives, recruits, develops and coaches restaurant managers, build sales and profit while maintaining high operating standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction. They are also accountable for the success of the area by following Company guidelines, policies and procedures, and ensuring ethical business practices.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Provide guidance and leadership in the delivery of outstanding guest experience, culinary operations, labor scheduling, inventory management, restaurant and food truck marketing and restaurant and food truck P & L
  • Plan, identify, communicate and delegate responsibilities throughout the area to ensure excellent operations are consistently achieved.
  • Constantly review area operations and related reports to identify problems, concerns and opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Manage the area P & L by tracking expenses vs. annual budget, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action.
  • Develop all systems, policies, procedures, and positions and ensure the area follows policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to restaurant and food truck managers and assess performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Create a positive team environment by recognizing and reinforcing individual and restaurant accomplishments.
  • Challenge and inspire restaurant and food truck management teams to achieve business results.
  • Coach restaurant managers in team member recruiting, development, performance management, and retention in order to ensure the restaurant is properly staffed, turnover goals are met and succession planning is in place.
  • Lead the area with integrity and knowledge that promotes the Corporate culture and beliefs.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of restaurant and food truck operations.
  • General knowledge of functional support areas, including H.R., training, marketing, finance, and development.
  • Comply with Health Department requirements and support the area in compliance of established safety programs. Stay current on Manager Food Safety Certification.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and mentor restaurant and food truck managers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in hiring, staffing, training, and the on-going management of a multi-lingual restaurant staff is required.
  • Strong delegation experience including: holding others accountable, business planning and communicating across a dispersed group of restaurant and food truck managers.
  • Ability to effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Articulate and solid communicator with effective presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated management of all applicable restaurant regulatory areas, to include: employee safety, food safety, wage and hour, immigration, etc.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement.
  • Ability to achieve results through leadership and management of others.
  • Manage Mozzeria Inc’s social media marketing campaigns.

Education/Experience

  • Prior experience in a multi-unit leadership role.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of prior restaurant management experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications
