FOOD TRUCK DRIVER

Responsible for driving Mozzeria Food Truck to designated events and prep and bake pizzas

Job Type: Part-time, non-exempt (hourly)

Reports to: Team Leaders

Evaluation: 90 days.

 

Duties

  • Pick up and drop off food inventory surplus.
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or use of hand truck.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle, adding fluids and oil, check tires, brakes, lights, and gas.
  • Read and interpret maps and GPS directions, monitor traffic conditions to avoid delays.
  • Follow traffic signs and street signs to get to destination.
  • Arrive and Depart Food Truck events in timely manner.
  • Encourages highest level of sales and customer service performance.
  • Provide customer service at food events including interacting with other food truck staff.
  • Assist in monitoring productivity in food sales and food flow.
  • Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously.
  • Bake pizzas of different sizes and utilizing appropriate pizza peels.
  • Work with KDS system and complete orders in timely manner
  • Practices food safety and sanitation including knowledgeable of proper temperature for all food items either stored or during service.
  • Complete daily opening and closing procedures in accordance with company policy.
  • All other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by Team Leaders and Manager.

 

Requirements

  • Complete and maintain Food Handler Certification in good standing upon hire.
  • Clean driving record of 7 years or more.

  • Fluent in American Sign Language.
  • Highly motivated, self directed, efficiently communicate with other staff.

RESTAURANT MANAGER

Established in 2011, Mozzeria is a fast-growing pizzeria owned and operated by a fully Deaf staff, and we are looking for someone to fulfill our Manager role that is passionate, motivated, fun to work with, and organized for our San Francisco restaurant!

The successful candidate will undergo Mozzeria’s manager training pilot program. This program is designed to train the right candidate with the right skills and knowledge to be effective at this job.

This is a full-time role in which you would work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the overall success of the restaurant and food truck operations. This is a 50-60 hour/week position, compensated generously with a salary and a $1,000 sign on bonus payable after six months of proven employment.

You should be self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced restaurant for our dinner service, as well as our food truck! In addition to being fluent in American Sign Language, having the ability to motivate and lead our team is a must. You should also have a very sharp eye for detail, always with the customer experience in mind.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 1+ years management or supervisory experience in restaurant, hotel, retail or general business required. *2+ years casual dining or full-service restaurant management experience preferred.
  • ServSafe, local and state certifications or the ability to obtain required.
  • You are a proactive and positive problem solver while assertive without being threatening.
  • You are self- driven and initiating.
  • You have great people skills, and easily coach and train others.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all restaurant operations.
  • Recruiting, hiring and training/coaching of team members.
  • Run daily pre-shift meetings, including coordinating between FOH and BOH.
  • Train all members on the delivery of the Mozzeria Experience.
  • Control labor costs, inventory management, use POS system, spreadsheets, run daily/weekly reports.
  • Ensure food quality and enforce all safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Conduct sales and marketing efforts for Food Truck and Restaurant.
  • Oversee Food Truck operations.
  • Ensure all maintenance is completed as required, including licenses.

  • Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant degree in hospitality a plus.
